CRYJ works with teens, families, justice agencies, and school
discipline teams to reduce youth involvement with the legal system,
interrupt cycles of harm, repair trust, promote accountability, and
foster community connections. Founded in 1998, CRYJ has delivered
impactful restorative programming to thousands of youth in Flathead
County for nearly 30 years and expanded services to the Missoula
community in 2025. The only organization of its kind in Montana,
CRYJ’s model prioritizes healing and accountability over harsh
punishment and isolation and has consistently demonstrated success in
reducing recidivism, increasing youth engagement, and strengthening
community trust.
